S&P Global Ratings has today affirmed SSE’s credit rating of BBB+ ‘stable outlook'.

SSEN Transmission has today reaffirmed its commitment to the energy workers of the future through 600 ‘earn as you learn’ roles between now and 2030, marking a significant investment in the next generation of talent powering the north of Scotland’s transmission network. 

SSEN Transmission has signed two major agreements to help deliver new homes in Scottish communities – the first to be agreed as part of the Perth-headquartered business’s pledge to support the delivery 1,000 new homes across the north of Scotland, as part of its investment programme to upgrade the region’s electricity transmission grid to achieve clean power targets and energy security for the country.

More than 7,500 customers in Southampton are now benefitting from a significantly improved local power supply following the completion of a multi-million-pound upgrade to the local infrastructure in the North Baddesley area by Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) Distribution.

Rhian Kelly has joined SSE this week as Chief Sustainability Officer. Her appointment comes at an important moment as SSE continues to play a pivotal role in the clean energy transition.
