Powering resilient growth in the clean energy transition

SSE is leading the way when it comes to helping to deliver a cleaner, more affordable and secure energy system. In doing so we create value for our shareholders as well as the society which we proudly serve.

Chair's statement

Sir John Manzoni

"In the face of a challenging operational environment we have met our financial performance expectations and made good progress on building the electricity assets needed for a cleaner, more secure and more affordable energy system."

Performance highlights

SSE delivered a record year of investment, spending £3.6bn in 2025/26 on strengthening the UK’s electricity grid, accelerating electrification and setting consumers on the path to lower bills. It's part of our five-year, £33bn investment plan to 2030, primarily focused on strengthening the electricity network in the north of Scotland.

The right side, titled "Value-adding growth," illustrates asset growth with figures of £40 billion by FY30 for networks and ~9GW for renewables. Additional metrics include a ~25% CAGR for networks and ~12% for renewables.
